Visit to the important Jewish Ghetto and the Synagogue. The Jewish community of Mantua is one of the oldest and most important Jewish communities in Italy. Mantua was a Jewish city: today there are few witnesses of Jewish culture in Mantua, but it is still possible to take a tour of the city in search of the last remaining traces. In Mantua this community was strong in the mid-sixteenth century. Unfortunately today almost nothing remains of the ghetto: only one of the six large synagogues that were in the area of the old ghetto remains. At the beginning of the 1500s there were at least 12. The "Norsa-Torrazzo" Synagogue takes its name from one of the oldest Jewish families in Mantua: the Norsa. It has been declared a national monument, it is the only one remaining of the six that they originally constituted and enlivened the religious life and Jewish culture of the city. Overnight.

Lunch with Kosher meals during the excursion and continuation of the visit with the Piazza delle Erbe, the Loggia del Consiglio, the House of Romeo and Juliet and the Synagogue of Verona, one of the largest in Northern Italy, is a building of great charm and rare beauty, which preserves the original nineteenth-century furnishings and decorations intact. Notes
VILLA SAGRAMOSO SACCHETTI: The origin of the Villa Sagramoso Sacchetti (formerly of Arco) is to be found in an ancient agricultural court, perhaps medieval, equipped with rusticals, an oven and a dovecote tower, built on a spectacular promontory overlooking the Adige and Valpolicella . What remained of the ancient Villa was purchased in the early 60s of the last century by the spouses Alessandro and Rosandra Sagramoso Sacchetti with the support and precious advice of the Veronese historian Giuseppe Silvestri and the then superintendent Pietro Gazzola.
In the following years, the Sagramoso Sacchetti Counts undertook a difficult work of recovery of the monumental complex, bringing the Villa and the historical appurtenances back to life.
The new generation of the family has decided to re-propose the authentic essence of the Venetian Villa, as a patrician house at the center of agricultural activities, in order to make you relive the atmosphere and traditions of this ancient land.
The Relais Villa Sagramoso Sacchetti offers, for the stay of its guests: 2 Suites on the first floor with double bedroom, dressing room and private bathroom (2 person); 2 Superior Suites on the first floor with double and single bedroom, dressing room and private bathroom (3 people); 2 Suites on the second floor of the Villa, equipped with air conditioning (portable), with double bedroom, dressing room and private bathroom (2 people); 2 Apartments in the park of the Villa of 85 square meters. (4 people).
Being a historic building bound by the Superintendence for Architectural and Landscape Heritage of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, it is not possible to install wall-mounted air conditioning. All our rooms are equipped with portable air conditioning.

The memories of one of the oldest Italian Jewish communities are kept in Ferrara’s medieval quarter. The small hamlet of Pitigliano is also known as “the small Jerusalem”, a clear indication of the fact that for many centuries the Jewish population was an integrated and welcomed part of the village and welcomed by the local population. The walls surrounding Pitigliano are of Etruscan origin and have been expanded and strengthened in […]
